Before you think about buying a new cell phone there are a couple of key features that you need to keep in mind beforehand. As you may already know there are new phones on the market almost on a weekly basis. With these new phones comes new features but aren’t these features a benefit to you.
One of the standard features you find on a phone is a camera, a couple of years ago top of the range would have been a 1.2 megapixel nowadays we are getting the camera phones to 8 megapixel and 10 megapixel. But, do you really need this? a standard two megapixel camera can take a picture with quality that can be developed to 8 x10 and do not even know it was taken with a camera phone.
Many phones now come with autofocus, which can help you, take a picture quality photos. Having a flash is always ideal for lowlight situations. Some manufacturers are now producing camera phones with smile detection and shake detection, which again are used to produce better quality images.
All the major cell phone manufacturers like Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Blackberry and Apple to name but a few have all developed applications to allow us to synchronize with our e-mail systems. Microsoft’s Outlook being one of the major e-mail clients can then be synchronized with most phones.
If most of your calls are in the evening and at weekends you are in a really good position to get a good deal and better pricing. If however most of your calls are during the daytime or business hours you are then going to be paying a higher premium on your contract. So it’s essential that you have the information to hand as to what you use the phone for. And the emphasis here is on you and not what the cell phone networks have to offer.
There are many third-party applications also available if a certain manufacturer has not actually released software to help you synchronize. Sometimes even this third-party software has been improved upon what the manufacturers have officially released.
