The Windows 7 Beta Download availability ends February 10th, 2009. Windows 7 version has already got the number of downloads that one would not expect for just a pre-release stage, which can have many bugs and errors. And as its just the beta stage, Microsoft would not let the download continue as the developments and bug fix process would be always going on.
Many users have been still trying to download, and many new people who are getting to know about Win 7 Beta are also downloading it. So, to keep it extended, the availability of the Windows 7 Beta is set until February 10th, 2009.
Here is what the Win 7 team blog says:
- Starting January 27th, the Windows 7 page will be updated with a warning that time is running out on downloading the Windows 7 Beta and that we will be limiting downloads shortly. People will be encouraged to register and start the download of the Windows 7 Beta sooner rather than later.
- February 10th, new downloads of the Windows 7 Beta will no longer be available. People who have already started their Windows 7 Beta download and have not yet finished will still be able to finish their download and are encouraged to do so.
- February 12th, people will no longer be able to complete their download of the Windows 7 Beta. Anyone who hasn’t finished downloading the Windows 7 Beta will be unable to do so.
So, speed up and finish the download before the dates given. The product keys will be available later too, but not the download files.
